🚀 Quick Start
- Click "+ New Manuscript" to add your first manuscript
- Fill in required fields (Paper ID, Title, Status)
- Click "Save Manuscript"
- Your manuscript will appear as a card in the grid below
📝 Adding a Manuscript
Required Fields:
- Paper ID: Unique identifier (e.g., ID_001, PAPER-2025-01)
- Title: Full title of your manuscript
- Status: Current stage (Draft, Submitted, Under Review, etc.)
Optional Fields:
- Processing ID: Journal's submission ID
- Abstract: Brief summary of your work
- Keywords: Comma-separated keywords
- Main Author & Co-Authors: Author names
- Journal/Conference: Target venue
- Dates: Submission and feedback dates
- Funding: Grant or funding information
- Notes: Any additional information
🏷️ Status Options
Draft - Still writing
Submitted - Sent to journal
Under Review - Being reviewed
Revision Required - Needs changes
Revised & Resubmitted - Changes made and resubmitted
Accepted - Accepted for publication
Published - Now published
Rejected - Not accepted
Withdrawn - Removed from consideration
🔍 Searching & Filtering
- Search box: Type to search by title, Paper ID, or author name
- Status filter: Select a status to show only manuscripts in that stage
- Combine filters: Use search + status filter together for precise results
👁️ Viewing Manuscript Details
Click "View Details" on any manuscript card to see:
- Complete manuscript information
- Full abstract and keywords
- Submission history (all rounds)
- Associated tasks
- Activity timeline
✏️ Editing a Manuscript
- Click "Edit" on the manuscript card
- Update any fields
- Click "Save Manuscript"
- Changes are saved immediately
📊 Statistics Dashboard
Click "📊 Statistics" to view:
- Total Manuscripts: All manuscripts in the system
- Under Review: Submitted + Under Review status
- Accepted: Manuscripts accepted for publication
- Published: Published manuscripts
💾 Exporting Data
- Apply filters if needed (optional)
- Click "↓ Export CSV"
- File downloads automatically
- Open in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet software
Tip: Export regularly as a backup!
💡 Tips & Best Practices
- Paper IDs: Use a consistent naming scheme (e.g., YEAR-TOPIC-NUMBER)
- Update regularly: Keep status current for accurate tracking
- Use notes: Record important information like reviewer comments
- Track dates: Always enter submission and feedback dates
- Regular backups: Export to CSV periodically
- Keywords: Use consistent keywords for easier searching
⌨️ Keyboard Shortcuts
- Esc: Close any open modal
- Ctrl/Cmd + K: Focus search box (future feature)
🔧 Troubleshooting
Problem: Manuscript doesn't save
- Make sure Paper ID, Title, and Status are filled in
- Check that Paper ID is unique
- Refresh the page and try again
Problem: Can't find a manuscript
- Clear the search box and status filter
- Try searching by Paper ID instead of title
Problem: Statistics not updating
- Refresh the page (F5 or Ctrl+R)
- Toggle the statistics panel off and on

- All data is stored in Cloudflare D1 database (APAC region)
- HTTPS encryption for all connections
- Database backups recommended via Export CSV
- Access can be restricted via Cloudflare Access
- Your data is private and not shared
